9. Troubleshooting Guide
Issue/ Error
(CLEANING) and JIG
HEAD MAINTENANCE
(NOZZLE CAPPING)
Dark shirt prints look
dull
Color print appear to be
shift from white
Underbase print.
Causes
The print head nozzle has dried
and is clogged with toner.
White nozzles are 100% or
near 100%. In adequate
amount of pretreat on the shirt.
This can cause the white ink to
sink into the shirt.
White nozzles are 100% or
near 100%, but it looks dull.
White ink has settled.
Missing many nozzles on one
or both white heads.
Table height is too low.
1.
Perform JIG HEAD MAINTENANCE
(NOZZLE CAPPING).
2.
Leave the printer turned off for 1 to 3
days (or 1 week if possible).
3.
Turn the power on, remove the Head
Cleaning JIG II from the platen.
4.
Clean inside the cap of the Head
Cleaning JIG II by using clean water and
wiping it with a cloth, making sure that
there is no ink remaining inside the cap.
Wipe the Head Cleaning JIG II too with
a dry cloth.
5.
Attach the platen and platen frame to
the platen base.
6.
Set [AUTO HEAD CLEAN] to [STRONG]
and execute it 3 to 5 times.
7.
Use a cleaning cartridge to replace the
ink in the head where the nozzle is
clogged with the cleaning liquid, and
leave it on for 24 hours.
There are two patterns of
replacement with cleaning liquid.

8.
Replace the ink again and perform
Nozzle check to see if it meets the
recovery criteria.
If the problem persists, contact your
service or sales representative.
On ColorGATE Productionserver, adjust
the amount of enhancer to apply.
On ColorGATE Productionserver, adjust
the amount of enhancer to apply.
Perform head cleans to recover the nozzle
to 100% or near 100%.
Set the garment correctly on the platen,
and then adjust the height again.
