Attenuator Adjust
Adjusting the attenuator "while in FTD or Standby mode" is typically used to reduce the
gain of the amplifier before initial Turn On. See initial turn on sequence discussed later
in this chapter. The RF output power can adjusted with the attenuator button; however,
the Main Menu Bar is typically used to adjust the power when the amplifier is operating.

1. Raise drive power – This indication will be present if the
attenuator has reached 0 dB and the desired output power has
not been achieved.
2. Reduce drive power – This indication will be present if the
attenuator has reached its maximum value and the desired
output power has not been achieved.
3. Drive power drop-out – This indication will be present if there is
a sudden reduction in drive power greater than 7 dB.
