6.1 Functions/parameters/address space
Operating mode
This parameter determines the mode in which the selected port should be operated.
You can select from the following options:
• IO-Link autostart
• IO-Link manual
IO-Link autostart
The connected IO-Link device starts automatically (Plug&Play functionality). The IO-Link
device is immediately ready for operation.
IO-Link manual
The connected IO-Link device is not started automatically.
You must store the Vendor ID and Device ID of the connected IO-Link device in STEP 7.
Inspection Level/Data Storage
You can select the inspection level for data storage:
• Same type (V1.0) without Backup&Restore
• Type-compatible (V1.1) without Backup&Restore
• Type-compatible (V1.1) with Backup&Restore
• Type-compatible (V1.1) with Restore
Port cycle time
Set the IO-Link cycle time at the corresponding port.
ET 200AL IO-Link devices configured on the IO-Link submodules
You can find the parameters for the ET 200AL IO-Link modules that can be selected as IO-Link
submodules in the manual for the respective module:
• ET 200AL DI 16x24VDC 8xM12 (6ES7141-5AH00-0BL0)
