Setting up the System Through a Serial Port

Follow these instructions to set up your system through a serial port. If
your computer does not have a serial port, see
Through a Web Interface"
To connect a computer to the system using a serial cable

Using a RS-232 serial cable, connect a computer to the 9-pin, serial
port labeled COM1 on the ReadiConvene appliance, and verify that
the link light for the connection is active.
Turn on the computer and the ReadiConvene appliance.
