The cable connector provides a connection point for the transmitter cord. When the
transmitter cord is connected, the transmitter battery recharges while the engine is
running.
The diodes—located on all sides of the transmitter—are used to transmit the coded
infrared signal to the receiving eyes on the machine.
Keep the transmitter clean to ensure maximum signal strength.
The right joystick (3) controls forward/reverse motion.
The left joystick (7) controls left/right motion.
Move the joysticks in the direction desired. The roller will change to high speed when-
ever the travel joystick is placed fully in the forward or fully in the reverse position.
This LED illuminates green while the battery is charging.
These LEDs—located on all sides of the transmitter—are part of the machine's sens-
ing system which stops the machine when the operator and transmitter are located
too close to the machine.
This LED indicates the operating status of the transmitter.
For further information, see Operating Status Indicator Codes [} 38].
Pressing this button causes the engine to crank. An override prevents the engine from
cranking if it is already running.
status indicator (6) illuminates green (flashing) when the transmitter is on.
Turning the transmitter off stops the engine and the machine. For further information,
see Emergency Shutdown Procedure [} 53].
Pressing this button causes the vibration to come on in the LOW vibration mode.
Pressing this button causes all vibration to stop.
Pressing this button causes the vibration to come on in the HIGH vibration mode.
When the machine is moving in the high speed travel mode, pressing either vibration
pushbutton (10) or (12) causes the roller to drop out of the high speed travel mode
and into the low speed travel mode. Conversely, when the vibration is on, the ma-
chine cannot go into the high speed travel mode.
To aid in diagnostics, this green LED flashes any time a signal is sent to the roller.
This selector switch, when set to match that of the machine's decoder module, allows
the SmartControl to control the roller.
