Possible cause
Clogged/dirty air-cooled condenser or
filter.
Blocked air flow to air-cooled condenser.
Low condenser water flow or water
too warm to water-cooled condenser.
Blocked condenser water line or valve
closed.
Condenser fouled.
Fan motor not running. [fan setting -
cut in 250, cut out 190, DPS set point
225 (VFD only)]
Faulty liquid line solenoid valve (TXV).
Overcharged with refrigerant.
Faulty optional water regulating valve.
Faulty pressure transducer.
Input wiring to PLC incorrect
If recently serviced, non-condensibles
in refrigerant system.
Solution
Clean the filter or coil. See Cleaning the
Air-cooled Condenser, in the Maintenance
section.
Move chiller or unblock air passageway.
See installation section.
Check required flow; see Specifications in
the Description section. Verify condenser
water pump is on (customer supplied).
See How to Set WRV properly
Unblock line; open valve. Check and
clean filter strainer.
Clean the condenser. See Cleaning the
Air-cooled Condenser, and Cleaning the
Evaporator or Water-cooled Condenser, in
the Maintenance section.
Check fan cycling operation settings.
Motor may be bad. See Drive manual
electrical information accompanying this
user guide. See PLC setting Fan Setpoints
OR setting DPS Setpoint (VFD only)
Check voltage. Replace valve as needed.
See spec sheet data refrigerant charge chart.
Repair or replace the valve.
See Checking the Pressure Transducer, in
the Troubleshooting section.

Check wiring diagrams and compare to
wiring to PLC; correct as needed.
Notify refrigerant service technician to
troubleshoot.
