438 MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION
For reliable operation and adequate service life, the wheel bearings must be properly
adjusted and checked during the service period. Loose wheel bearings could cause
premature tire wear and possibly affect vehicle handling. See your authorized Volvo Truck
dealer for proper servicing.
Watch carefully for oil leaks and listen for unusual noises. These are indications of worn
bearings, bad seals or misadjusted bearings. These are problems which must be corrected
as soon as possible.
