OPERATION
Disconnect the light cord and air brake lines. Use the dummy air couplings to keep foreign
material from entering the brake lines.
Unlock the fifth wheel.
Note: If the operating rod is too difficult to pull, back the tractor up slightly to relieve
any kingpin load against the fifth wheel jaw.

Release the tractor park brakes and pull the tractor away from the kingpin about 300 mm (12
in.) and STOP. Do not allow the fifth wheel to leave the underside of the trailer.
