Fence Positioning & Alignment
Fence Positioning
The fence adjustment largely involves moving the fence forward or aft to expose more or less of
the cutting blade. The adjustment is completed by a coarse adjustment which moves the entire
hood and guard assembly as a unit and the finished with a fine adjustment which can be applied
to each side of the fence separately.
1. Disconnect the machine from the power source.
2. Loosen lock lever (A) and slide the complete hood and
guard assembly forward or aft as needed.
3. If the hood and guard assembly does do not far enough
toward the back, it is possible to move the lock levers to
the rear set of mounting holes (B).
4. Measure from the T-slot to the face of the fence to
determine if the fence is square to the slot, and then
tighten the lock levers.
5. Fine adjustment may be applied to each side of the
fence separately.
6. Loosen the wing screws (C) and adjust the scaled
knobs (D) until the desired depth of cut is achieved. This
may also apply an offset between the two fence rails
when desired.
7. When the fence is in the desired position, tighten the wing screws.
Note: When needed, place a straight edge across the two fence rails and adjust
the fine adjustment to make the rails parallel to each other.
