Symptom
Air entering the suction hose/manifold
Pump will not 'Prime' Worn piston seals
Ball checks not seating correctly.
No Air or Fluid supply
Air piston seal worn.
Pilot valve assemblies inoperable.
Pump will not run
QE cup defective.
Ball checks not seating correctly.
Air getting into fluid line, air supply restricted.
Pump runs but has
excessive pulsation.
Obstructed fluid ball checks.

Fault Finding

Possible Cause

Remedy
Check seals and hose connections.
Replace piston seals.
Inspect, clean and/or replace balls
and seats.
Check air and fluid supply ball valves
and supply hoses.
Replace piston seal.
Switch/interchange pilot valves to
isolate faulty pilot valve and
clean/replace.
Check clean/replace Air valve.
Check for constant exhaust air when
pump is not running.
Check/replace QE cups.
Inspect, clean and/or replace balls
and seats.
Check seals and hose connections.
Check air supply
Remove, clean, and inspect seat,
ball, and ball cage.
Replace if suspect or worn.
