To set monitor preferences
In the Monitor Preferences section of the DOME tab, you
can select Pedestal.
If your monitor is set for this option, you should select it
here. Refer to your monitor manufacturer's recommenda-
tions for more information.
Setting driver options
The Driver Options area of the DOME tab enables you to
disable DirectDraw.
To disable DirectDraw
DirectDraw is an Application Program Interface (API) that
allows direct manipulation of the video display. To disable
DirectDraw, select the Disable DirectDraw option in the
Driver Options area of the DOME tab.
DirectDraw applications expect the screen to be repre-
sented as a single element. If you are using multiple
Md5/PCI boards, more than one screen can represent
the desktop.
With multiple displays representing the desktop,
DirectDraw applications cannot access the entire
desktop and may not work properly.
DirectDraw limited screen size
Under the Windows NT 4.0 operating system, Build 1381,
DirectDraw supports only screen sizes up to 2048 x 2048
pixels. DirectDraw applications may not function properly
with larger screen sizes.
