Cleaning and disinfection
The Barkey warming center III DTM must be cleaned regularly.
The Barkey warming center III DTM is simple and easy to clean due to smooth surfaces
and rounded corners.
The heating cabinet surfaces must be clean and wipe-disinfected inside and outside as
required, but at least once a week.
WARNING
Switch the device off and disconnect the mains supply before carrying out the
cleaning or wipe disinfection.
Never apply cleaning fluids or disinfectants directly to the inside of the heating
cabinet.
Always moisten a cloth and clean the heating cabinet using this cloth.
Never put cleaning fluids or cleaning cloths in the air ducts.
Never use steam (i.e. in autoclaves), hot air or thermo-chemical cleaning solutions
to disinfect the the heating cabinet.

First use a water-soap mixture to clean the heating cabinet if possible.

Dry the surfaces and use a surface disinfectant. Observe the acting time stated by
the disinfectant manufacturer!
You should use standard commercial preparations based on alcohol without oxygen-
releasing components (with sodium hydrochloride with 1.4% bleach solution or aldehyde
content < 0.2%) as a disinfectant.

After allowing the disinfectant to act, dry the device off with disposable tissues.
CAUTION
In addition to these recommendations, we refer you to the hygiene measures and
regulations set by your hospital.
