TROUBLESHOOTING

The Bale Processor is designed to pick up bales and load them in the cradle where
they are moved into a high speed rotor for shredding. It is a simple and reliable system
that requires minimum maintenance.
In the following section we have listed potential problems, causes and solutions to the
problems you may encounter.
If you encounter a problem that is difficult to solve, even after having read through this
troubleshooting section, please call your dealer or distributor. Before you call, please
have this Operator's Manual and the serial number from your machine ready.
PROBLEM
Machine Vibrates
Lift frame lifts slowly
Shear Bolt Failure
CAUSE
Rotor out of balance
Insufficient oil flow.
Cold Temperatures.
Rotor does not turn freely.
PTO engaged too quickly.
PTO disengaged at high RPM

SOLUTION
Check rotor, remove
entangled material. Be sure all
flails swing freely.
Check rotor. Replace
any bent, damaged or
missing flails.
Increase oil flow at tractor
or flow divider.
Warm machine before
operating.
Check hydraulic oil
type in tractor.
Determine and correct cause
of hard turning. Rotor must
turn freely.
Remove entangled material
from rotor, flails, shaft and
bearings.
Replace shear bolts.
Engage PTO slowly. See trac-
tor operator's manual.
Reduce tractor speed to idle
before disengaging
Check to see that PTO brake
(If equipped on tractor) is not
engaging prior to rotor
stopping.
