Start webConfig tool

Ä Connect the PC to the device.
ð Direct connection to the D-coded M12 BUS connection of the device
ð Indirect connection via an upstream switch.
Ä Start the webConfig tool using your PC's Internet browser with the IP address of the device:
ð Devices with "Frequency F4": 192.168.60.102
ð Devices with "Frequency F3": 192.168.60.101
ð The webConfig start page is displayed on your PC.

The user interface of the webConfig tool is essentially self-explanatory. The most important points are ex-
plained in the short description of the webConfig tool.

Short description of the webConfig tool
The menus and dialog boxes of the webConfig tool are intuitive to operate and provide texts and tool tips.
8.3.1

Process mode and service mode

A software switch is present in the top left of all user interface displays, which can be used to switch the de-
vice from process mode to service mode.

• Data transmission is active. The optical link transmits the incoming and outgoing data.
• Completely passive diagnosis of the device can be carried out.
• No adjustments or changes can be made to the device.
Individual masks and menus are deactivated in process mode (grayed out).
