REMOVING THE ENGINE

REMOVING THE ENGINE
NOTE:
_
It is not necessary to remove the engine in
order to remove the following components.
• Cylinder head
• Cylinder
• Piston
• Starter clutch
• Starter motor
• Kickstarter shaft
• V-belt
• Primary sheave
• Secondary sheave
• Transmission
• Rear wheel assembly
• Oil pump
• A.C. magneto

ENGINE OIL

1. Drain:
• engine oil
Refer to "CHANGING THE ENGINE OIL" in
chapter 3.

COVERS

1. Remove:
• footboard
Refer to "REMOVING THE FRONT COWL-
ING AND LEG SHIELD" in chapter 3.

CARBURETOR

1. Remove:
• fuel tank
Refer to "FUEL TANK" in chapter 5.
• air filter case
Refer to "AIR FILTER CASE" in chapter 5.
• carburetor assembly
Refer to "CARBURETOR" in chapter 5.
