7. Remove:
• rubber cover 1
• air shroud (left) 2
• engine cooling fan cover 3
• air shroud (right) 4
8. Remove:
• engine cooling fan 1
9. Align:
• "I" mark a on the A.C. magneto rotor
(with the stationary pointer b on the crank-
case)

a. Turn the crankshaft clockwise.
b. When the piston is at the Top Dead Center
(TDC) on the compression stroke, align the
"I" mark c on the camshaft sprocket with
the stationary pointer d on the cylinder
head.
