Placing Compressor switch in 20 CFM posi-
tion locks the engine speed at 2400 rpm,
which limits maximum air output to 20 CFM.

tion allows Auto-Speed operation. Engine
speed increases to 3600 rpm when air is
used and idles after 10 seconds of no air
use.

When the air compressor switch is in either
20 CFM or 30 CFM position, outlet air pres-
sure is monitored. If pressure is below MIN

pressure setting, compressor clutch en-
gages and engine speed increases to meet
air demand. When MAX pressure setting is
reached, compressor case pressure re-
duces. If there is no air demand for 45 sec-
onds, the clutch disengages until outlet
pressure is below MIN setting. Access Ser-
vice menu to set MIN and MAX pressure
settings (see Section 6-4). See Section 7-2
for air compressor controls.
