Stop engine. Place Air Compressor
switch in the Off position.

Before charging battery, check po-
larity of battery posts. If battery Neg-
ative (−) post is grounded to chassis
(most vehicles), connect charger
Positive (+) cable to Positive (+) un-
grounded post of battery. Connect
charger Negative (−) cable to vehicle
engine block or heavy gauge metal
part of frame (and away from bat-
tery). If Positive (+) post is grounded
to chassis, connect charger Negat-
ive (−) cable to Negative (−) un-
