The external antenna stand base has magnet for installing it on the ferromagnetic
surface.

If available, place the antenna on the ferromagnetic surface for the firm gripping and adjust the
antenna position to achieve best possible reception.

If using an external address, the position of the antenna should be chosen in such a way that the best
possible reception is achieved.

If the EK205-M is mounted on a gas meter with encoder, the antenna must not be placed near the
bottom side of the housing, else the encoder function could be disturbed during modem operation
as the antenna on the bottom of the housing is too close to the encoder.

Modem and RS232/RS485 serial communications are mutually exclusive. When
modem is connected, RS232/RS485 communication interface cannot be used.
