Highway Driving Assist operation
Basic function
Highway Driving Assist display
and control
You can see the status of the Highway
Driving Assist operation in the Driving
Assist view on the cluster. Refer to "LCD
display modes" on page 4-80.
Highway Driving Assist will be displayed
as below depending on the status of the
function.
Operating State

Standby State
OKA4052105L
1 Highway Driving Assist indicator,
whether there is a vehicle ahead and
the selected distance level are dis-
played.
Highway Driving Assist (HDA)
僅 Highway Driving Assist indicator
- Green (
- White (
2 Set speed is displayed.
3 Lane Following Assist indicator dis-
played.
4 Whether there is a vehicle ahead and
the target vehicle to vehicle distance
are displayed.
5 Whether the lane is detected or not is
displayed.
NOTICE
僅 For more details on the display, refer
to "Smart Cruise Control (SCC) (if
equipped)" on page 6-128.
僅 For more details on the display, refer
to "Lane Following Assist (LFA) (if
equipped)" on page 6-148.
Highway Driving Assist operating
Highway Driving Assist will operate
when entering or driving on the main
road of highways (or motorways), and
satisfying all the following conditions:
僅 Lane Following Assist is operating
僅 Smart Cruise Control is operating
NOTICE
僅 Whilst driving on the highway (or
motorway), if Smart Cruise Control
starts operating, Highway Driving
Assist will operate.
僅 When entering the main roads of
highways (or motorways) whilst Smart
Cruise Control is operating, Driving
Assist will not turn on if Lane Follow-
ing Assist is turned off.
