SERVICE PROCEDURE
2. Remove oil level plug (3) and oil filler plug (4), then
remove drain plug 5 to drain the oil. After the all oil is
drained, tighten plug (5).
3. Add engine oil through the hole of oil filler plug (4) until
the oil level reaches the bottom edge of the hole of oil
level plug (3).
4. After refilling the oil, tighten plugs (3) and (4).

CLEAN, CHECK TURBOCHARGER

Contact your Komatsu distributor for cleaning or inspection.

CHECK VIBRATION DAMPER

Check that there are no cracks or peeling in the outside surface of the rubber.
If any cracks or peeling are found, contact your Komatsu distributor to have the parts replaced.

CHECK ALTERNATOR, STARTING MOTOR

The brush may be worn or the bearing may have run out of grease, so contact your Komatsu distributor for inspec-
tion or repair.
If the engine is started frequently, have this inspection carried out every 1000 hours.

CHECK ENGINE VALVE CLEARANCE, ADJUST

Special tools are needed for inspection and maintenance, please contact your Komatsu distributor.
