OPERATION
CHECK OIL LEVEL IN POWER TRAIN CASE, ADD OIL
The parts and oil are at high temperature after the engine is stopped, and may cause serious burns. Wait
for the temperature to go down before starting the operation.
1.
Open cover at the right side of the machine.
2.
Remove dipstick (G), and wipe the oil off with a cloth.
3.
Insert dipstick (G) fully in the oil filler pipe, then take it out
again.
4.
The oil level should be between the H and L marks on
dipstick (G).
If the oil level is below the L mark, add engine oil through
oil filler (F).
5.
If the oil is above the H mark, drain the excess engine oil
from drain plug (P), and check the oil level again.
6.
If the oil level is correct, tighten the oil filter cap securely.
REMARK
When checking the oil level after the engine has been
operated, wait for at least 15 minutes after stopping the
engine before checking.
If the machine is at an angle, make it horizontal before
checking.
CHECK BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL
If the brake pedal stroke is not 70 to 90mm (2.8 to 3.5in)
(below 70mm or over 90mm), the brake and steering force
is too strong or insufficient. If the stroke is 91mm (3.6in)
or longer, adjust it.
1.
Depress the brake pedal all the way until it stops.
2.
The distance of travel at the center of the pedal should be
70 to 90mm (2.8 to 3.5in).
3.
When this value exceeds 91mm (3.6in), or the brake fails
to work, please contact your Komatsu distributor for
adjustment.
