Getting to Know
the Osprey

About the Carrier

A carrier (Figure 4-1) is available to help with carrying and positioning the Osprey. The carrier is
supplied with three straps, which allow the Osprey to be easily attached to a rucksack or other
clothing in a variety of different ways. Figure 4-2 shows recommended carrying positions.

Using a Remote Antenna for in-Vehicle Mounting

The back of the carrier has a rectangular hole pattern. If required, this allows the Osprey to be
mounted onto an AMPS-compatible mounting surface, which are often used to mount devices inside
vehicles.
If the Osprey is mounted inside a vehicle, a remote antenna (not supplied with the Osprey) should be
fitted to the outside of the vehicle and connected to the docking connector on the bottom of the
Osprey. For further information, please refer to the remote antenna installation instructions.

The straps (1, 2, 3) must be
fed correctly through the slots
(as shown here) to enable the

carrier. The ring fits over the
top of the Osprey.
