If you wish to change any part of the message, press the Back/Home key (
back to the required point, then re-compose the message from that point.

When you are ready to send the message, select Send. The following notification message
is displayed:

Select OK. The Outbox is displayed.
Your message is now stored in the Outbox and is sent as soon as a GPS fix is obtained and
there is a good sky view. At this time, GPS position data is added to the message data, and
the message is transmitted. The message will remain in the Outbox until an
acknowledgement is received from ViewPoint, at which time it is moved to the Sent Items
folder and you will hear a 3-tone sound (medium-low-high).
If you have sent the message to another Osprey, you will receive a message receipt in your
Inbox once your contact has received the message.
Note: If the Inmarsat satellite has been acquired, but the Osprey cannot obtain a GPS
position fix after a predefined period of time, your message is sent, but contains the last-
known position.

Viewing Messages Stored in the Outbox or Sent Items Folder

The Outbox temporarily stores messages you have sent until they have been transmitted and
acknowledgement is received from ViewPoint. The Sent Items folder archives messages that have
been successfully transmitted from the Outbox. To view messages stored in the Outbox or Sent
Items:

Select the Mailbox option on the Home page.

If necessary, press the Up/Down key (
option (as appropriate), then choose Select:
