Connecting the CA SYNC Port

Follow these steps to connect the CA SYNC port to a diagnostic PC.
1 Connect the male end of a DB-9 data cable to the CA SYNC port on the back of
the MQAM.
Note: The cable connection is straight through.
Connect the other end of a DB-9 data cable to one of the following:

An available serial port on the diagnostic PC

A terminal server of a VPN
Note: The maximum length for the ribbon cable is 50 ft.
