2 For lateral access: If the lesion is located near the axillary tail, use
straps at the elbow to elevate the arm on the puncture side.
3 For cranio-caudal access: Position the arm on the frame next to the
body for easy access to lesions in the vicinity of the axillary tail or
the breast wall.
4 For medial access: Slide the insertion plate for the recess laterally
into the frame so that the other breast does not restrict free access
to the lesion.
5 If necessary, optimize the height of the horizontal or vertical slat
plates using the screws.
 CAUTION
Overcompression!

Incorrect diagnosis due to insufficient contrast
enhancement
◆ Apply just enough compression to immobilize the breast, but
do not cause pain to the female patient and ensure that
contrast enhancement is continued correctly.
1 Slide the fixation unit with the horizontal or vertical slat plates
carefully together to compress the area of the breast to be
examined.
2 Adjust compression to stabilize the breast during needle insertion,
but avoid overcompression.

The marker may only be used for establishing the reference position
for needle insertion.
✓ Marker is disinfected.
◆ Fill the marker with a syringe (e.g., with 1:200 diluted 0.5 molar
contrast medium). Ensure that the marker is filled completely.
