The positioning unit is used for the post/pillar method to position the
needle with millimeter accuracy.
(1) Guide arm with telescopic function
(2) Set screw to angulate the needle/marker holder
(3) Set screw for moving the telescopic arm
(4) Set screw for moving the needle/marker holder in the vertical
direction
(5) Set screw for moving the guide arm in the horizontal direction
The guide arm of the positioning unit can be moved continuously. A
horizontal and vertical scale enables zero point setting as well as
setting the lesion coordinates. For examinations close to the thorax,
the vertical range of the guide arm can be extended with the
telescopic function.
The marker or needle guide can be attached to both sides of the
guide arm.
In addition an angle (0°, 15° or 30° each in the direction of the
thoracic wall or mamilla) can be set on both sides.
