Cleaning

Clean the components after each application (within 30 min).

Do not use any abrasive cleaners or organic solvents or solvent-
based cleaners (such as petrol-based cleaners, alcohol or stain
removers).

Clean the components to ensure that all blood or tissue residues
have been removed from the components, including cleaning
materials.

Disinfection

Use diluted solutions of commercially available disinfecting means
based on aldehyde and amphotenside (e.g., Norm EN 1499,
propan(2)ol 60%). Follow manufacturer's instructions.

Always wear protective gloves and observe the residence time for
HBV and HIV viruses.

Sterilization
Sterilization is only required for needle blocks and needle guides.

Sterilize the needle holder and needle blocks before and after
each examination.

Pack the needle blocks and needle guides in sterilized/autoclave
packing.

Use steam sterilization (for 20 min at 134°C and 3.04 bar).

with formaldehyde (for 60 min at 62°C).
