2 Use the software to generate slices that run parallel to the grid.
The lesion can be localized.
5.4.2

Determine the coordinates

1 Draw a ROI around the lesion and transfer it to all other slice
images.
2 Scroll through the slab to the image which best shows the grid
opening of the height adjustable grid.
3 Measure the distance between the ROI in the image with grid and
the ROI on the image of the lesion to determine the puncture
depth.
4 Select the grid opening in accordance with the ROI drawn.
5 Position a needle block in the grid opening. Ensure that the
diameter of the openings in the needle block corresponds to the
thickness of the introducer sheath/stylet combination used.
6 Select the opening in the needle block that best corresponds to the
ROI in the grid. Use the marker position for orientation.
5.4.3

Inserting the introducer sheath/stylet

1 Move the introducer sheath/stylet forward in the needle block by
the puncture depth calculated. Take into account the needle guide
length of the needle block (20 mm).
2 Perform wire localization or remove tissue.
