If the roving PC User has the ability to use Multlink PPP (RFC 1717) then the
Ma. Multi_link ports option can be set to 2. If additional bandwidth on
demand is required the Outgoing Call Parameters must be set accordingly.
The "Multi-link PPP Path" window should now be exactly the same as that
shown below.
69. Close the "Multi-link PPP Path" window by [clicking] the OK Button.
The "Account Information" window should now be displayed.
70. [Click] the down-arrow on the right hand side of the IP Networking Box.
The options revealed are Enabled and Disabled. Select "Enabled".
71. [Click] the Edit Button to the right of the IP Networking Box. This will
reveal "IPPath" window.
72. Select a value for RIP Operation on this Account User's Path by [clicking]
the appropriate circle. In this instance select "Disable".
As the roving PC User is effectively part of the main HQ backbone LAN and
he is not a Router there is no need to send IP RIPs down to him. If he want's
to route to anywhere other than the main HQ LAN he should configure a
Gateway on his PC.
73. Select a value for the RIP Type to be used on this Account User's Path by
[clicking] the appropriate circle. In this instance select "RIP1Compatible
