Incoming PPP calls to a Router use the PPP Profile configured on the port the
calls comes in on. Therefore it is necessary to set up the PPP Profile on all the
ISDN ports to suit that of the Roving User. ISDN ports which have been
allocated the same Telephone number must use the same PPP Profile. In this
instance the Roving User is to be challenged using CHAP and does not
support Multi-Link (RFC 1717).
53. Type CO DEV<CR> at the Command Line. The "Device Management
Menu" should now be displayed with the device "MARLIN" highlighted.
Highlight the ISDN device(s) [i.e. line(s)] that the Roving User will dial in
on. In this Example the device "ISDN-PRI ...".
54. Type ED<CR> at the Command Line this should now display the "Update
Device Form".
55. Select the PPP Profile parameter. Change this from "Custom" to
"Standard CHAP".
56. Submit the changes by pressing Control E. "Device Management Menu"
should now be displayed. The message "Please use the Save command"
will also appear in the middle of the fifth line up from the bottom of the
screen.
