B. The Outhaul is controlled at the mast.
C. Main Halyard is operated from the central winch/clutches.
D. Reefing is operated from the central winch/clutches.
E. Sheeting is controlled by dual winches on the rear beam.
F. Sheeting sharp downwind angles, the preventer can be (controlled at the central winch)
attached to the padeye outboard of the helm station and combined with the windward
sheet.
Cockpit halyard clutch arrangement
When raising the main sail face the boat into the wind a few degrees off zero, this prevents the
trailing edge of the battens from snagging on the topping lift. Sheet the boom securely over
centerline, ensure all reefing clutches are open up to required setting, halyard winch is closed
and winch away. When sail is up loosen the topping lift, bear away and set the sheet.
When gybing or tacking it is a safer practice to sheet the boom over the centerline before
maneuvering to avoid dangerous uncontrolled boom swing.
WARNING - Always stay clear from the main sheet lines and do not wrap your hands on lines.
Before lowering the mainsail remember to first tension the topping lift, Let the reef lines flake
naturally with the sail, there is no need to gather them.
NOTE: if unsure where reef lines were set on previous sail drop, ensure reef jammers are
open when hoisting.
