Make sure that the centre cover of the hub
#
cap is turned anti-clockwise.
Position the hub cap and turn the centre cover
#
clockwise until the hub cap engages physically
and audibly.
Aluminium hub cap
To remove: position centring cap
#
tyre-change tool kit on hub cap 1.
Position wheel spanner 3 on centre cap 2.
#
Using wheel spanner 3, turn hub cap
#
anti-clockwise and remove it.
To fit: follow the instructions above in reverse
#
order.

Specified tightening torque: 27 Nm.

Important notes on using the jack:
Use only a vehicle-specific jack that has been

approved by Mercedes-Benz to raise the vehi-
cle.
The jack is only designed for raising and hold-

ing the vehicle for a short time while a wheel

work under the vehicle.
The jack must be placed on a firm, flat and

1 non-slip surface. If necessary, use a large, flat,
load-bearing, non-slip underlay.
The foot of the jack must be positioned verti-
