The tyre-change tool kit is located under the load
compartment floor.

The jack is in the tool bag 3 on the load com-
partment floor
% When stowing the tool bag, make sure that it
is adequately secured.
Preparing the vehicle for a wheel change
Requirements:
The vehicle is not on a slope.

The vehicle is on solid, non-slippery and level
R
ground.
The required tyre-change tool kit is available.

If your vehicle is not equipped with the tyre-
change tool kit, consult a qualified specialist
workshop to find out about suitable tools.
Apply the electric parking brake manually.

Move the front wheels to the straight-ahead
#
position.
Shift the transmission to position j.
#
Switch off the vehicle.
#
Make sure that the vehicle cannot be started.
#
Place chocks or other suitable items under the
#
front and rear of the wheel that is diagonally
opposite the wheel you wish to change.
Remove the hub caps if necessary

Raise the vehicle ( page 393).
