Activating the variable limiter or Active Distance
Assist DISTRONIC
To activate without a stored speed:

pressM, N or J. Active Distance
Assist DISTRONIC: remove your foot from the
accelerator pedal.
The current vehicle speed is stored and main-
tained (Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC) or
limited (variable limiter) by the vehicle.

To activate with a stored speed: pressJ.

Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC: remove
your foot from the accelerator pedal.
The last stored speed is called up and the
vehicle maintains this speed (Active Distance
Assist DISTRONIC) or does not exceed it (vari-
able limiter).
If the stored speed has been deleted, the cur-
rent vehicle speed is stored.

When you switch off the vehicle, the stored
speed is deleted. When you activate Active
Distance Assist DISTRONIC, the last speed
stored for the variable limiter is deleted.
Increasing or reducing the speed
To increase the stored speed: swipe upwards

from the bottom of control panel 1.
The stored speed is increased by 1 km/h.

To decrease the stored speed: swipe down-

wards from the top of control panel 1.
The stored speed is decreased by 1 km/h.
