activates when the gear is R (Reverse)
position.
僅 Reverse Parking Distance Warning
assists the driver during reverse
movement of the vehicle by chiming if
any people, animal, or object is
sensed when the vehicle speed is
below 6mph (10km/h).
僅 The rear and front side sensors warn
the driver when moving backward
when the vehicle speed is below
6mph (10km/h). However, the object
must be within 24 in. (60 cm) from the
front-side sensors to operate.

After starting the engine, a beep will
sound when the gear is shifted to R
(Reverse) to indicate Forward/Reverse
Parking Distance Warning is operating
normally.
However, if one or more of the following
occurs, first check whether the ultra-
sonic senior is damaged or whether
Forward/Reverse Parking Distance
Warning is in a non-operating condition.
If it still does not work properly, have the
system inspected by an authorized Kia
dealer.
