Chapter 3. PROFIBUS Network Adapters
In order to minimize cable reflections and ensure a defined noise level on the data lines, the
data transfer cable must be terminated at both ends with a terminating resister combination
as follows:

An IO module may have three types of data: I/O data, configuration parameter, and memory
register. The data exchange between network adapter and IO modules is done by means of
an I/O process by RSTi bus protocol.
The following figure shows the data flow between network adapter and IO modules for
STXPBS001.
