3. Unplug the AC power cord and verify that the front panel Mains
indicator turns off and the External Battery indicator turns on.
4. Verify that both the AC and Charging indicators on the External
Battery are off.
5. Verify that the Bus Voltage on the diagnostic mode hardware screen is
at least 22.3 VDC.
6. Allow the ventilator to run 10 minutes on External Battery power.
7. Verify that the Bus Voltage on the hardware screen is at least 22.3
VDC.
8. With AC still disconnected, cycle power to the ventilator and allow it to
come up in normal ventilation.
9. Verify that the External Battery indicator is on and the Battery In Use
and Battery Low indicators are off.
10. Reconnect the AC power cord. Verify that the ventilator continues
operating uninterrupted, the Mains indicator turns on, and the
External Battery indicator turns off.
11. Verify that the External Battery AC and Battery Charging indicators
are on.
12. Turn the ventilator off and disconnect the External Battery connector
from the back of the ventilator.
13. Disconnect the External Battery cable from the Backup Battery cable,
and connect the Backup Battery cable directly to the ventilator.
14. The external battery test is complete.
Start here if only the Backup Battery is installed:
1. Connect the ventilator to AC power, enter diagnostic mode, and select
the hardware screen.
2. Unplug the AC power cord and verify that ventilator operation
continues uninterrupted and the Bus Voltage on the hardware screen
is at least 22.3 VDC.
3. Allow ventilator to run 5 minutes on Backup Battery power.
4. Verify the Bus Voltage on the hardware screen is at least 22.3 VDC.
