5.3 MAINTENANCE DONE BY END USER

Printing directly on textiles produces dust around the printing area. To keep the printer in best working
condition this dust needs to be removed periodically. A kit with cleaning materials is developed to clean the
printer parts on a regular basis.
•
Do not insert or drop metal or inflammable objects into openings, such as ventilation outlets.
Doing so may result in electrical shock and fire.
•
Stop using your printer if a liquid is spilled into it. This may cause electrical shock or fire.
Power the printer OFF as soon as possible, unplug the power cord and then contact your local
MUTOH dealer.
•
Be sure to power OFF the printer and unplug the power cable from the outlet before cleaning the
printer.
•
Do not use thinner, benzene, alcohol or other active agents. Doing so may result in damage or
paint peeling from the casing.
•
Be careful not to spill liquid inside the printer. Doing so may result in a short circuit.
•
Never open the covers fixed with screws. Doing so may result in electrical shock or
malfunctioning of the printer.
Please make sure to wear gloves when:
•
Handling the cleaning liquid.
•
Using the dust free clothes.

5.3.1 Periodical maintenance for the end user

These maintenance cycles has to be performed by the end user!

2 TUBING FLUSH, FLUSH AND CLEAN CAPS IN MAINT STATION with Mutoh
Water based Textile Cleaning liquid
3 RINCE AND CLEAN PRINTING GUTTER with water and paper cloth
4 CLEAN AROUND BOTTOM OF HEADS (not nozzle plate)
5 CLEAN THE SPITTING BOX MESH
6 RINCE THE SPITTING BOX WASTE TUBE with water
7 CLEAN THE PRINTER
8 CHANGE SPONGE AT BACK OF CAPPING STATION (sponge assy)
9 CHANGE WIPERS
