NOTE

Bus connections

Before using the S46/S46T, you must connect the IEEE-488 connector on the rear panel of
the switch to the IEEE-488 connector of the controller. Use a Keithley Instruments Model
7007 or similar shielded IEEE-488 cable for this connection. Refer to
information on the IEEE-488 connection.

Errors
Maximum voltage between any conductor and ground is 42V.
To prevent damage to the S46/S46T, do not exceed the following
maximum signal level specifications of the switch:
Maximum Voltage: 30VDC, 42V peak
Maximum Power (per RF channel):
35W CW @ 18GHz, 1W switching. Load VSWR of 1.20:1 maximum
10W CW @ 26.5GHz, 1W switching. Load VSWR of 1.20:1 maximum
3W CW @40GHz, 1W switching. Load VSWR of 1.20:1 maximum
Termination power: 1W per termination, 3W total power per relay.
Do not close more than one RF path per multi-port switch.
Degradation of RF performance will result and the switch may be
damaged.
The term GPIB (General Purpose Interface Bus) is used in this manual. GPIB is
simply another term for the IEEE-488 bus.
