10. NODE UNIQUE ID (UID)

10-1. Confirmation of UID Number

IEEE1394 I/F Board (AJ-YAD120AG) has "Node Unique ID". This UID number is displayed in the DIF STATUS
MENU in the DIAG MENU
1. Connect a monitor TV to the Line Output of the VTR.
2. Open the "DIAG MENU".
3. Press the "Search" button twice so that the "DIF STATUS" and "UID Number" are displayed on the monitor
TV. (Refer to Paragraph 7, 7-1.)

10-2. Writing UID

<Important Note>
The UID number should not be changed from the original one.
If the original UID number is needed, contact Panasonic Service Engineering.
1. Connect the "Flash memory version up tool (VFK1304A)" between the connector (P2) on AJ-YAD120AG in
the VTR and personal computer as shown below.

2. Make sure that the direction of the flat cable connection (face side and reverse side of flate cable) to the tool
(VFK1304A).
Set the flat cable to the connector as shown in the figures below.
3. Set the VFK1304A in the "CROSS CABLE" mode as shown the backside of the tool but the actual connection
cable should be straight cable.
4. Set the DIP switch SW3301-1 to ON, and SW3301-2, 3 and 4 are "OFF".
5. Turn "ON" the personal computer power.

"R1-R4" to cross cable mode
as shown the backside of
this tool.
(ii) Set the SW 1:
1,2 = OFF
3,4 = ON or OFF.
