<How to place the VTR in the REV -X1>
1) Open the service menu.
2) Press the both "PLAY" and "REW" button
together in the VTR operation mode.
1. Perform 1x and –1x playback alternately. Confirm
the CTL output level is within the specification in
the figure 1-18-1. If it is out of specification, adjust
the T6 Post Height.
2. When adjusting a post, try it by 45 degrees step.
3. Place the unit in the –x1 playback again, and
confirm that the CTL output level (C1/ C2) is more
than 75% of the normal playback (CP1/ CP2).
Also confirm that the limit condition of the P5 and
P6 posts is as shown in figure 1-18-1.
4. If it is out of specification, adjust T6 post height.

1. Prepare a 50M recorded tape.
Confirm that there is no tape damage in
intermittent mode and while switching CUE and
REV.
2. If it is out of specification, adjust T5 and T6 posts
height by following the Paragraph "1-2. Post Height
Pre-Adjustment".
