Before the initial start-up, please ensure that your centrifuge is
properly set up and installed (see chapter 5 "Set-up and
Connection").
Press the mains power switch on the right side of the front (see
Fig. 2.1, page 11).
Press the lid key in order to open the lid.
To close, press with both hands slightly on the lid until the
electrical locks are locked.
Do not hold your fingers between the lid and the housing when
closing the lid. Risk of crushing!
All swing-out rotors applicable for this centrifuge and the angle rotor
12510 weigh more than 18 kg.
Always lift the rotors with a lifting device or with a sufficient
number of people helping you.
Open the centrifuge lid by pressing the lid key.
Unscrew the rotor tie-down screw from the motor shaft (counter-
clockwise).
Lower the rotor with its central bore straight down onto the motor
shaft.
Turn the adapter end of the motor shaft anti-clockwise with the
supplied hexagon socket key (part no. 930 050) and tighten the
internal thread of the rotor with 20 Nm with the rotor wrench (size
17/19, part no. 930 018).
