3. Check the condition of the dust valve (2) and replace if
required.
NOTE: If the dust valve is cracked, torn, remains open,
or is missing, dust particles that are normally
expelled can collect on the air filter and
shorten the air filter service life.
4. Open the air filter housing cover and remove the
primary air filters (3).
5. Clean the inside of the air filter housing with a clean
cloth.
6. Remove the secondary air filters.
NOTICE!
Do not attempt to clean the air filter. Failure to
replace a damaged, damp, or clogged air filter
could cause the engine or machine to operate
improperly.
7. Inspect the secondary air filter and replace as
necessary.
8. Inspect the primary air filter and replace as necessary.
9. Close the air filter housing.
