Reinforce the casing as follows:
PVA bag
2 layers of perlon stockinette, reinforced with carbon
INFORMATION
The carbon maintains the tension of the casing and secures the dummies and screw connections.
2 additional layers of perlon stockinette

Then laminate the casing with an appropriate amount of lamination resin.
Wait until the casing has hardened.
Take off the casing and carefully sand down the material covering the dummies of the battery with receptacle and
the electronics with receptacle until the edges are free (see fig. 21).

CAUTION
Risk of pinching
Overlapping sockets may cause the patient to suffer painful contusions when bending the knee. The E-MAG Act­
ive reaches a maximum flexion angle of 140°. When cutting the socket contours, ensure that the patient can bend
the knee freely.
Cut the orthosis free. Remove all dummies and the Plastilin® moulding dough from the casing and orthosis. Sand
down the edges of the orthosis and the casing. Clamp the dummy for the electronics A (see fig. 22) into the cor­
responding receptacle B and place the receptacle into the casing from the outside (see fig. 23).
