breathing bag.
1. Attach a new bacterial/viral filter to the
expiratory connection.
2. Attach patient tubing, Y-piece, and
manual breathing bag.
3. Attach the water trap and the gas
sampling line.
Note on a log sheet that a routine cleaning has
been performed. Refer to hospital guidelines.

CAUTION: When replacing the gas
sampling line, make sure that the
dimensions and material of the new
consumables comply with that specified by
MAQUET, see Chapter 15, page 280.
Deviating from these recommendations may
affect the gas analysis process.
