Exchanging Procedure of MP Cards

When you find a fault in the MP card, exchange the faulty MP card to the new one according to
the procedure below.
• Exchanging Stand by MP (MP1) Card
(1) Flip the MB switch on the faulty MP1 card to ON (UP position), and unplug the MP1 card
from MP01 slot.
(2) Flip the MB switch on the new PN-CP20 (MP1) card to ON (UP position), and mount the
PN-CP20 card into MP01 slot.
(3) Set the SW3 switch to B and flip the MB switch to OFF (DOWN position) on the new MP1
card.
- A few seconds later, the MN lamp on the PWR card lights in yellow. Now the system data
are cleared.
(4) Flip the MB switch to ON (UP position) and set the SW3 switch to 0 (On-line) on the MP1
card.
(5) Flip the MB switch on the MP1 card to OFF (DOWN position).
- The RUN lamp on the MP1 card flashes in a slow pace.
- Three to six minutes later, the office data copy from the MP0 card to the MP1 card starts.
The RUN lamp on the MP1 card flashes intermittently.
- When the office data copy finishes (maximum 20 minutes later), the RUN lamp on the MP1
card flashes in a slow pace.
• Exchanging Active MP (MP0) Card
(1) Changeover the system operation from the MP0 card to the MP1 card by manual procedure
(See
Page
50).
(2) Do the procedure (1) through (5) of "Exchanging Stand by MP (MP1) Card" above.
