2. Description of functions

The waste water containing oil is pumped
from the dirt trap (1) wird by a waste water
pump (14) or the ABS dirt trap (Part No.
2.638-333) into the reaction tank (3) of the
HDR 777.
Depending on the preset type of operation, the
following takes place in the reaction tank (3):
If a liquid cleavage agent is used
– Addition of liquid cleavage agent from the
metering unit (4). The metered quantity
has to be adjusted to the degree of soi-
ling of the waste water.
– Homogeneous mixing of the cleavage
agent and waste water by stirring and
circulation by the bypass pump (18).
– Flocculation takes place as dirt and
emulsified oil are bound.
– The mixture of flocs and cleaned water is
pumped to the recycling filter (7) by the
liquid cleavage agent drainage pump
(16). From there it then passes to the
storage tank for industrial water (9).
If cleavage powder is used
– Addition of cleavage powder from the
metering unit (5). The metered quantity
must be adjusted to the degree of soiling
of the waste water.
– Homogeneous mixing of the cleavage
agent and waste water by stirring and
circulation by the bypass pump (18).
– Flocculation takes place as dirt and
emulsified oil are bound.
– The mixture of flocs and cleaned water is
pumped to the filter for cleavage powder
(8) by the cleavage powder drainage
pump (17). From there, depending on the
type of operation set, it then passes via
the waste water outlet pipe connector
(13) into the waste water or via a connec-
tion hose between the waste water outlet
pipe connector (13) and drain tap (10)
into the storage tank for industrial water
(9).

C. Unit functions
Depending on the version installed, from the
storage tank for industrial water the cleaned
water can be:
– pumped by the high-pressure cleaner
supply pump (12) into an external buffer
tank (option) for further use via the indu-
strial water discharge (19)
– pumped to a high-pressure cleaner by the
high-pressure cleaner supply pump (12),
via the industrial water discharge (19)
and linking via the ABS / ASA / HDS
control cable (Part No. 2.638-346).
As an alternative, the HDR 777 can be
linked to a high-pressure cleaner via the
ABS HDS - ASA / HDR (Part No. 2.638-
300) and the ABS fresh water remote
control (Part No. 2.638-264).
In both recycling versions a shortage of
water (due to entrainment and evaporation)
is compensated for by adding fresh water.
When linked via ABS HDS - ASA / HDR
(Part No. 2.638-300) the fresh water can be
used for rinsing processes.
If the waste water is recycled, a deger-
mination agent must be added via the mete-
ring devices (6). In this way odour problems
caused by bacteria can be avoided.
An additional option is to install a supple-
mentary float switch in the sludge trap as
protection against overfilling. If the float
switch is triggered (dirt trap full) the water
supply for the high-pressure cleaner is shut
off. The valve remains closed until released
by the float switch in the sludge trap.
