LINE-OUT position applies the reverse clutch and
releases the brake. The winch will unwind the wire rope
at a speed controlled by the PTO rpm of the tractor and
the weight of the load.
BRAKE-OFF is a detented position. Oil pressure has
released the brake, but the wire rope cannot be pulled from
the winch by hand because of friction in the clutches, brake
and gear train. BRAKE-OFF is used to move the tractor
away from the load while keeping the wire rope tight.
