Serial Number Codes
The nameplate with the serial number code is found on
the left front corner of the winch case. A serial number
indicates the following information:
Manufactured By
A = Allied Systems Company
(No "A" = Hyster Company)
Winch Model
W8L = Standard Product
K8L = Special Design (Contact Factory)
Type Drive
P = Power Controls
E = Electronic Controls
X = Direct Drive (Gear Drive)
Gear Ratio
Code = Forward Ratio/Reverse Ratio
1 = 49.8:1/19.9:1
2 = 71.6:1/28.6:1 (95.4/38.1 - K50)
3 = 94.0:1/37.6:1 (125/50 - K50)
4 = 84.0:1/33.6:1 (Non-Current)
5 = 90.1:1/36.0:1 (Non-Current)
